A large number of online guides are available for the same. JIRSD recommends, and to some extent, follows the Elsevier Publishing and Research Ethics Guidelines which can be read in detail by <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/researcheracademy.elsevier.com\/publication-process\/ethics#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">clicking here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The publication of an article in a Peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of work of the author(s) and the institutions that support them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Some important ethical topics which find mention in the Elsevier Publishing and Research Ethics Guidelines include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Authorship of the paper:<\/strong> Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. It carries accountability for the research findings.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Originality and plagiarism:<\/strong> The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and \/or words of others, that this has been appropriately cited or quoted. Reproducing text from other research papers without properly crediting the source is known as plagiarism. All Manuscripts received by JIRSD are analyzed for plagiarism using a plagiarism software as the first step after individual Manuscript is communicated to JIRSD.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Data access and retention:<\/strong> Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Multiple, redundant or concurrent publication:<\/strong> Self-plagiarism, or the practice of publishing manuscripts describing essentially the same research by the same author in more than one journal or primary publication, is not acceptable by JIRSD. This rule applies to material submitted elsewhere while the JIRSD contribution is under consideration. When reusing text, whether from the author\u2019s own publication or that of others, appropriate attribution and citation is necessary. The Journal does not view the following uses of a work as prior publication: publication in the form of an abstract; publication as an academic thesis; publication as an electronic pre-print.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Fundamental errors in published works:<\/strong> When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his\/ her own published work, it is the author\u2019s obligation to promptly notify the Journal editor and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Consequences for Plagiarism\/ Self-plagiarism<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Authors found indulging in any kind of plagiarism, and\/ or submitting multiple, redundant or concurrent publications, are black-listed from communicating any further Manuscripts for at least 5 years, based on the decision of the Journal Editorial Board.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Copyright Policy<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Journal of Interdisciplinary Research for Sustainable Development (JIRSD) is an Open Access Journal, available online to the reader \u201cwithout financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Journal uses the <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-sa\/4.0\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Creative Commons \u2018ShareAlike\u2019 license<\/a>, the purpose of which is to ensure that all future adaptations and derivatives of a work carry the same permissions as the original. This ensures that the work remains free, open and licensed for re-use regardless of the new forms the work might take on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In other words, if an individual makes a derivative work based on the ShareAlike-licensed work, he or she must release it under the same terms under which the original was released, either using the appropriate CC license or an approved compatible license.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-114 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/upub.delhigreens.org\/jirsd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/open-access-jirsd.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"60\" height=\"94\" \/>Open Access Statement<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"custom_html-2\" class=\"widget_text widget clearfix widget_custom_html\">\n<div class=\"textwidget custom-html-widget\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Journal of Interdisciplinary Research for Sustainable Development (JIRSD) allows readers to freely read, download, copy (after giving appropriate credit), distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of its articles and to use them for any lawful purpose.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All prospective authors of the Journal of Interdisciplinary Research for Sustainable Development (JIRSD) are expected to adhere to basic standards of research and professional ethics and conduct, as is expected in scholarly publishing.
